Proudfoots Home Hardware Building Centre in Pictou has an opening on our Project Desk selling lumber and building materials. We're interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in building material sales or have a demonstrated history of success in other sales-based jobs or construction-related jobs.

Duties include:

  • Ringing in lumber and building materials for walk-in customers and contractors/tradespeople
  • Estimating materials for various projects (windows & doors, roofing, decks, garages, etc.) for customers/contractors/tradespeople and following through to get the sale
  • Building relationships with customers to create repeat business
  • Merchandising and maintenance in the building materials department

Schedule:

Weekdays 7:30-4 or 9:30 am-6 pm

Every second weekend

Saturday 7:45-4:15 or 9:30-615

Sunday 9:45-5:15 pm

Benefits start after 3 months, Store Discount after 30 days

We're looking for someone who is a good team player and who does well in a fast paced environment. Significant computer use is required. If you are motivated by making the sale and have excellent customer service skills, we are interested in talking to you
