We are seeking a
Data Managed Services Engineer
to join our client's existing data operations team. The role follows a DevOps model, alternating between production support and development. The successful candidate will provide L1 support (1 PM – 9 PM shift) once every three weeks, including weekend on-call coverage, and focus on development and bug fixes during the remaining weeks. Responsibilities

  • Provide L1 production support during assigned shifts and on-call rotations
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data management solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, ETL processes, and cloud data workflows
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and availability across data pipelines
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to drive automation and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in data operations, application support, or DevOps environments
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with any ETL tool
  • Knowledge of batch schedulers (CA7, JAMS, or similar)
  • Experience with AWS Cloud services (CloudWatch, S3)
  • Basic understanding of data lake, data catalog, and open table formats (Big Data concepts)
  • Basic UNIX knowledge
  • ETL development experience (CADIS / Markit EDM, Datastage)
  • Familiarity with release management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA)
  • Application or production support experience (L1 or L3)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GIT, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy)
