History in the making WSP is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer(s) to support the historic Centre Block Rehabilitation Project in Ottawa, from the Thornhill Office. This is your chance to become a member of this transformative project.

What you can expect to do here:

Participates in client meetings and proposal preparation activities;

· Prepare engineering design including calculations, specification and drawings for the following building systems:

· HVAC

· Plumbing

· Fire Protection

· Fuel Systems

Utilize industry specific software and related technologies in design and analysis;

What you'll bring to WSP:

Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.


• Minimum 5 years mechanical engineering and design experience on major complex building projects – experience with large scale, heritage designated projects a distinct advantage.


• Experience working in different delivery models – i.e. CM progressive design packages, Design Build, P3 - is required. 


• Must possess working knowledge of National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code.


• Understanding of LEED v4.0 and ASHRAE 90.1 standards.


• A working level understanding of REVIT MEP 3D is considered a definite advantage.


• Must be proficient in MS Office Applications.


• Be eligible to obtain PSPC Reliability security clearance to work on this Government Project.
