Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality meals efficiently and maintaining the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent food safety practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, and a strong understanding of food handling and cooking techniques is essential to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
  • Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
  • Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
  • Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and evenings if required
  • Basic understanding of serving protocols within a restaurant setting
