Van Bree Infrastructure is a diverse construction company with multiple divisions under its umbrella including Van Bree Sand and Gravel and Choice.
Our Sand and Gravel team is looking for a dynamic, energetic individual to take on the role of Scale Attendant/Office Administrative Assistant to join our team at Van Bree, supporting Van Bree Sand and Gravel and Van Bree Infrastructure. This role would be based out of our Arkona location. This role works hand in hand with all of our gravel pits and head office to offer support to our existing scale attendant and administrative team.

DUTIES AND RESPOSNIBILITIES
- Weigh trucks and complete tickets for shipping material
- Sort Tickets
- Enter weigh tickets into system
- Update material pricing in computer
- Order tickets as need for all pits
- Provide customers with Sieve Analysis(Manager currently doing)
- Provide backup coverage for Dispatcher and Administrative Staff
- Answering phones
- Taking gravel orders
- Dispatching trucks
- Filing
- Assisting with correspondence
- Assisting with catering/event planning
- Provide monthly tonnage reports for Management
- Keying of VB and Inland tickets into spread sheet for VBDB jobs
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Grade 12
License
- Valid G license
Knowledge and Experience
Effective communication skills
Working knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
Analytical and process oriented with accurate attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Organized and excellent time management skills
Ability to speak, and write in English as well as basic math skills
Ability to work independently or be part of a team

- Monday to Friday (some weekends dependent on work on hand)
