Position Overview

Synergy Capital is seeking a
Analyst
who will work in tandem with senior management to provide clients with the most competitive and attractive capital offerings available in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary underwriting analysis utilizing financial models and market analysis
• Prepare high-caliber financing presentations, CIMs, and marketing collateral that include comprehensive transaction highlights, project overviews, market studies, and cash flow analyses
• Oversee the collection and organization of all required due-diligence materials
• Collaborate closely with senior management to facilitate the successful execution of financing transactions as an active member of the deal team
• Interact daily with associates and partners to create deliverables for clients and capital sources
• Thoroughly review, organize, and condense term sheets, loan documentation, third-party reports, and other pertinent transaction documents
• Be actively involved in financing transactions from inception to completion, gaining direct exposure to real estate investors, developers, and capital partners
• Actively engage in research to provide authoritative insights to both clients and internal teams. Continuously monitor and analyze interest rate trends, economic indicators, and market risks to inform the preparation of comprehensive interest rate circulars
• Attend external meetings to support the origination of new opportunities and deliver lender presentations
• Support internal operations, including database management of clients and capital sources
• Contribute to Synergy's thought leadership through the creation of compelling technical content
• Analyze and interpret financial data and assess the value of real estate assets and development projects
• Work and contribute to a variety of special projects, reports, and operational support functions as necessitated

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate is considered an asset
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, particularly within real estate finance, commercial real estate lending, commercial banking or similar environments
• Expert financial analysis and underwriting proficiency with advanced Excel skills, encompassing cash flow modeling, pivot tables, and data management functions
• Familiarity with the real estate landscape, including understanding of acquisition, investment, development, asset management, and financing
• Experience in the preparation and analysis of development budgets and Pro-formas is considered a plus
• Expertise in PowerPoint and Word to develop persuasive pitch decks and presentations
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an analytical mindset
• Highly motivated and a self-starter, with the ability to work well in a team and fast-paced environment
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a flexible schedule
