Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in joining Pillars-Stryder Transport ltd. We are a multiple award-winning 3PL provider that specializes in dedicated Transportation, Warehousing, and Logistics services for some of the largest food, beverage, and packaging companies in the world since 1989.

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, full-time night shift Dispatcher to join our Operations team at our Canadian head offices in Richmond, BC.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the night
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of clients
  • Act as a communication liaison and answer incoming phone calls and messages from drivers on the road
  • Cultivate strong and personable relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes
  • Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for deliveries and pick-ups

Job Requirements & Skills

  • Must be efficient with using a computer, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent knowledge of roadways throughout the immediate area
  • Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be motivated and able to work productively and efficiently in a team-focused environment, including in high pressure situations
  • Experience with TMS (Truck Mate, A1 etc.) is a significant asset
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English are essential
