Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances while ensuring the safety and timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency on the road.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and cargo information as required by regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or any issues encountered on the road.
  • Load and unload cargo using pallet jack or other heavy equipment when necessary.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high level of professionalism on the road.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability during trips.
  • Stable transportation mission entire year, from Vancouver to Montreal, round trip.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Familiarity with freight handling and logistics operations is preferred.
  • Need at least two years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair techniques is beneficial for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
