Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated HVAC/R Apprentice with a G2 Gas License to join our installation team full-time. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in commercial and industrial HVAC/R installations under the mentorship of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and make-up air units
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and wiring schematics with guidance
  • Support installation of refrigerant piping, electrical components, gas lines, and controls
  • Assist with brazing, soldering, and pressure testing systems in compliance with code
  • Help with system start-up and commissioning under supervision
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and senior technicians
  • Maintain a safe and organized job site following health and safety policies
  • Complete basic installation documentation and support commissioning reports

Qualifications

  • Valid G2 Gas Technician License (TSSA)
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in HVAC/R installation preferred
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Ability to work from heights and handle physical demands of installation work
  • Strong communication skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and willing to follow guidance from senior team members

Preferred Assets

  • Working at Heights and aerial lift certifications
  • Experience with sheet metal and duct installation
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS/DDC)
