Responsibilities

  • Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including freight documentation and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the dump truck as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transport.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar vehicles.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts.
