Sales Agronomist

Reporting to the Prince Albert Agro Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative's vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, agribusiness partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Conduct field scouting to diagnose crop issues (weeds, pests, disease, nutrient deficiencies).
• Provide tailored agronomic recommendations based on soil tests, crop conditions, and farm goals.
• Promote and sell seed, fertilizer, pesticides, and related agronomic products.
• Support growers with product selection, application timing, and best management practices.
• Deliver product information through field days, demonstrations, and agronomy meetings.
• Collaborate with suppliers, product representatives, and internal sales teams.
• Stay updated on new technologies, crop trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of field observations, sales activity, and customer interactions.
• Meet sales targets and contribute to business growth.
• Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are :

You are looking for a career in Agriculture and:

• You hold a degree or diploma in Agriculture and are eligible for membership with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
• You hold a Certified Crop Advisor or Professional Agrologist designation or willing to obtain.
• You have strong knowledge in crop production, soil science, and pest management.
• You have the ability to analyze field data and provide actionable recommendations.
• You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• You have strong sales skills: prospecting, negotiation, account management.
• You are self motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You are adaptable to seasonal demands and variable work environments.
• You are willing and able to achieve WHMIS and TDG certifications.
• You carry a valid class 5 drivers license and are wiling to travel within assigned territory.
