About the Role

A privately owned commercial landlord is seeking a dependable, hands-on maintenance individual to oversee the upkeep and day-to-day operations of multiple commercial properties across Saskatoon.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform regular inspections across all commercial properties to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

· Handle general maintenance and small repairs — including doors, ceiling tiles, drywall patching, paint, and basic carpentry.

· Complete minor plumbing and electrical work, including toilets, taps, traps, bulbs, switches, and ballasts.

· Conduct seasonal HVAC rooftop unit and furnace filter replacement.

· Oversee snow removal, sanding, and lawn care contractors; assist with snow blowing and parking lot maintenance; and complete sprinkler repairs as needed.

· Monitor roof conditions, drainage, and flashing.

· Perform caulking, minor concrete patching and various interior/exterior maintenance.

· Maintain shop tools and inventory.

· Monitor waste and recycling bins and handle graffiti cleanup as needed.

· Read water meters. Monitor and react to spring melt on all properties.

· Evaluate problems on-site, identify whether the issue is structural, mechanical, electrical or seasonal, and determine if a trade is required prior to initiating service calls. Provide supervision and oversight of trades when work is being performed.

· The individual we are looking for will respond promptly to maintenance issues, assess what is required, communicate professionally with tenants and management to ensure concerns are understood, documented, and addressed efficiently.

Qualifications

· 3+ years' experience in general property or building maintenance.

· Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks daily.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and interpersonal abilities when dealing with tenants and trades.

· Valid driver's license.

Compensation

· Wage: Depending on experience.

· Schedule: Monday–Friday (limited on-call for emergencies).

· Benefits: Health and dental available, opportunity for wage growth.
