Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and proficiency with various heavy equipment and warehouse management systems. This role is vital in ensuring efficient order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining safety standards across all warehouse activities.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, order picking, packaging, and load & unload operations.
- Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and other heavy machinery to facilitate the movement of goods.
- Manage inventory using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AS400 systems to ensure accurate stock levels and order accuracy.
- Lead the team in order fulfillment processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
- Oversee the operation of mechanical equipment and troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing or warehouse distribution processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to heavy lifting, heavy equipment operation, construction standards, and general warehouse safety.
- Coordinate with shipping & receiving departments to streamline logistics workflows.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards.
- Train staff on proper use of equipment such as order pickers, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory movements, shipments, and safety logs.
Requirements
- 3 + years of proven experience in warehouse management and supervisory roles within warehouse distribution or manufacturing environments.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, including order picking, packaging, shipping & receiving, and inventory management systems such as WMS and AS400.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and other heavy machinery; relevant certifications are required.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing or construction equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation standards and safety regulations.
- Experience working with order fulfillment systems like AS400 is desirable.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Coordinate with logistics providers, suppliers, and internal teams
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$35.30 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
