Role Overview

As a Senior Frontend Engineer based in Vancouver, you will work closely with the founding team, designers, and engineering staff to lead the development of our platform's frontend architecture, design systems, and user-facing features.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain frontend applications using 14+, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
  • Integrate with backend APIs covering zoning analysis, financial modeling, AI design, and market intelligence
  • Develop high-performance geospatial interfaces using Mapbox and
  • Lead component architecture and contribute to shared design systems
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend/AI engineers across cross-functional teams
  • Participate in sprint planning and project tracking using JIRA and GitHub Projects
  • Contribute to DevOps workflows using Docker, GitHub Actions, and Google Cloud Run
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in frontend development with React and TypeScript
  • Proficiency in building modern applications with (App Router, SSR/SSG, RSC preferred)
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and API integration
  • Experience with modern state management tools (e.g., Zustand, Redux, SWR)
  • Familiarity with Docker-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfort working in a structured agile environment with tools like JIRA and Notion
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Vancouver, Canada

Preferred:

  • Experience with Mapbox, , WebGL, or spatial/3D visualization
  • Background in B2B SaaS, urban tech, planning tools, or design platforms
  • Experience building internal component libraries or working with design systems
  • Prior exposure to AI-enabled applications or complex data visualization interfaces
