co-operative opportunity
to ambitious Civil Engineering/Technology Students.

Reporting to the Materials Team Leads you will spend your
8-month co-op program, May - December
(or 2 consecutive 4-month terms) assisting our team in the field.

Your Main Responsibilities
Students will have the opportunity to be trained and to perform some of the following tasks:

  • Field testing of civil construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt
  • Learn about construction equipment, sequencing, and drawings
  • Compaction testing of soils, aggregates and asphalt
  • Concrete testing; casting cylinders and performing slump and air measurements
  • Asphalt testing; Marshall analysis, pavement coring, and onsite sampling
  • Preparing daily test summary reports
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

What Makes You Unique

  • A Civil Engineering Student in recognized Canadian College or University.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs of weight
  • Must be very safety conscious
  • CSA approved laced steel-toed boots.
  • Alcohol and drug testing may be required upon arrival.
  • Must be able to work outside of normal working hours and any overtime assigned.
