We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Clinical Research Assistant I (CRAI) in our Emergency Medicine Research Program, one of the most active and productive emergency medicine research programs in Canada. The successful candidate will be involved in several investigator-initiated studies. The primary role will be recruitment of study participants in both emergency departments at The Ottawa Hospital.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Recruit participants into all ongoing program studies - *must be available for evenings/weekends
  • Assist Study Leads with remote monitoring of all national study sites
  • Assist Study Leads with ongoing communication with sites to ensure compliance with study protocols
  • Assist with data collection, data entry, data cleaning, follow-up of various studies
  • Assist with study start-up activities (regulatory documents, training)

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):

  • Secondary school diploma
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
  • Evidence of training certification in Tri-council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
  • Evidence of training in Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5, and/or Device Regulations, as applicable
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive patient data information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual preferred (English/French)
  • Clinical research experience
  • Familiarity with database software

Contract Details:

This is a full-time contract.

Salary: Min: $22.471/hr. - Max: $29.962/hr.
