Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Certified Industrial Electrician on a fulltime/permanent basis.

Location: Belleville, Ontario

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering team members to optimize production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform
  • scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
  • SHIFT WORK: 2 weeks on days (7am-7pm), then 2 weeks on nights (7pm-7am).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Red Seal Occupational Standard Industrial Electrician Certification is required (MANDATORY)
  • MUST BE ACCEPTING OF SHIFT WORK (see above)
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's license (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions.
