Lucky Supermarket is looking for a FULL TIME Meat Cutter who would like to join our team.

Job Summary:

Lucky Supermarket is seeking a dedicated and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in cutting and preparing a variety of meat products, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Meat Preparation:

  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters into standard cuts of meat
  • Trim, debone, and portion meat and poultry
  • Grind meats and fulfill custom cutting requests
  • Create and maintain attractive displays of meat, poultry, and fish products

Packaging and Sales:

  • Clean, wrap, weigh, and package meat products for retail sale
  • Label and price meat products accurately
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers

Additional Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Operate equipment such as slicing machines, grinders, and hand-cutting tools

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset; training provided
  • Language: English (spoken and written)

Work Conditions:

  • Physically demanding; requires standing for extended periods
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Cold/refrigerated work environment
  • Requires handling heavy loads and sharp tools
