Job Summary: The Supervisor, Community Programs is responsible for leading the delivery and ongoing expansion of the Food & Wellness Care Kits Program, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Toronto Charitable Foundation. This role includes direct oversight of program operations, vendor and stakeholder management, and outreach to community partners. The Supervisor ensures the program operates effectively and efficiently with a strong emphasis on project management, partnership development, marketing, and client-centered service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall implementation and management of the Wellness Care Kits Program.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including product sourcing, negotiating contracts, and service tracking.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with community agencies, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies to increase awareness of food security initiatives and promote community involvement.
  • Lead promotional activities for the program.
  • Transport and deliver kits to clients across the community.
  • Work with the Manager, Community Programs to plan, monitor, evaluate and improve program effectiveness, including regular reporting and outcome tracking.
  • Receive and evaluate client referrals to the Wellness Care Kit Program, providing referrals to other SPRINT Senior Care services or community services, as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and compile program data, financial tracking, and monthly reports in line with agency and funder requirements.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, students and volunteers, ensuring adherence to program standards and safety protocols are met.
  • Provide quality customer service when interacting with clients, volunteers, caregivers, vendors, and partner organizations.
  • Monitor service delivery and distribution processes against performance indicators to ensure service excellence and responsiveness to community needs.
  • Participate in inter-agency meetings, working groups, and stakeholder forums to strengthen collaborative approaches to food security.
  • Assist in developing and establishing new partnerships and program opportunities to expand food security supports across Toronto.
  • Support the department by stepping into roles as needed during absences, peak periods, or special initiatives.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in social work, social service work, gerontology, nutrition, community development, or related field preferred.
  • Valid G-class driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Experience working or volunteering in a community-based organization.
  • Strong project management experience with proven ability to coordinate logistics and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly resourceful, organized, and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with experience in outreach, partnership-building, and marketing/communications.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff and/or volunteers.
  • Compassion, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to serving vulnerable seniors and adults with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of seniors' services and experience supporting individuals with mobility or cognitive challenges an asset.
  • Demonstrated skills in using Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook.
  • This role involves regular lifting and carrying of kits, as well as pushing, pulling, standing, walking and bending. Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of transporting items between locations safely and efficiently.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate, an asset.
