Job Summary

The Corporate Sous Chef supports the Corporate Executive Chef in leading culinary operations across all quick-service and café brands. Assist in development, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of culinary operations for Chairman's Brands. This role ensures consistent food quality, recipe execution, and operational excellence across multiple locations. The Corporate Sous Chef plays a vital role in maintaining brand integrity, driving innovation, training kitchen teams, and supporting new product development and store openings for all Franchised and/or Corporate Brands.

Key Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the Corporate Executive Chef in managing culinary operations across all brands and franchise locations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing innovative food and beverage offerings that distinguish our brands from their respective competition.
  • Direct involvement in training and in store assistance, to improve the skills of new and existing franchise partners, during openings and renovations.
  • Assist Marketing in the development, testing, and rollout of new menu items and limited-time offers for each brand.
  • Conduct due diligence/market research on equipment, food trends, cooking methods.
  • Quarterly Competitive Analysis for all brands.
  • Work with Operations and Purchasing departments with regards to restaurant operating guidelines, promotions, quality controls, vendor compliance, product sourcing and demonstrations.
  • Assist in conducting kitchen audits with in store visits, recommendations and perform corrective action to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction through the menu offering and product delivery consistency in all brands/locations.
  • Monitoring the external environment and competition in the QSR, LSR and FSR markets and identifying opportunities to strengthen the overall operations strategies and enhance our competitive advantage.
  • Meeting and working with Chairmans Corporate Chef, as well as Corporate Chefs from brokerage partners, to ensure that we are constantly on the leading edge of food trends.
  • Drive strategies to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging, and friendly service.
  • Protection, conservation, and maintenance of the company's assets.

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Certifications or equivalent professional culinary qualifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in Full Service or Quick Service Restaurant experience.
  • Experience in baking and pastry and beverage innovation is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a Culinary Leadership role and/or training role is preferred.
  • Previous experience in café, coffee shops is recommended for this role.

· Ability to lead and train diverse kitchen teams across multiple brands or restaurant concepts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team player attitude.
  • Results oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to analyze data and trends and create strategies for improvement.
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
  • Excels in proactively training, developing, and building talented teams.
  • High attention to detail with integrity to product quality assurance.
  • Ability to travel locally and to support opening new restaurants across Canada.
  • Food Safe and Health & Safety Certification.
  • Exposure to P&L Management, including budgeting and forecasting.

· Passion for food innovation and upholding the integrity of established brand recipes.
