This is a unionized position with CUPE Salary Range: $30.07- $34.29 per hour based on 40 hours per week, plus standby pay.  This is a permanent full-time position.

Education & experience required:
  • Minimum 2 years post-secondary education diploma in a field such as Laboratory Technician, Environmental Technician, and/or Biology, Science, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering Technician, or Water Resources. 
  • Laboratory experience an asset. 
  • Ability to obtain Operator in Training certificate within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Ability to obtain Wastewater Treatment Level 1 certification within 1 year from date of hire.
  • Possess a valid Nova Scotia driver's license.
  • Ability to produce a satisfactory criminal record check and driver's abstract as conditions of employment.
