About Us:

The Wolfville Elms is a privately owned residential care facility providing quality care for 23 residents. Our residential care facility is dedicated to creating a warm and supportive environment where residents can thrive. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our residents.

Position Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Wolfville Elms, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional nursing care to our senior residents. Working 8:30am to 4:30pm, weekdays, the LPN will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and personalized care, promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health, promptly addressing any changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Oversee the healthcare team to ensure that the day-to-day activities provided by the healthcare team run smoothly (i.e., meals, recreational programs, daily care routines).
  • Ensure that accurate resident health records and documented and maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage the scheduling for all staff.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid LPN license
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in a senior care or residential facility considered an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Compassionate and dedicated to providing quality care for seniors
