Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with power tools and hand tools, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Utilize schematics to assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed.
  • Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during repairs.
  • Carry out welding tasks when required for vehicle repairs or modifications.
  • Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle's needs and repair status.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Previous mechanic experience is essential, preferably within a dealership environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for vehicle assembly and repairs.
  • Experience with welding is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing vehicle issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and teamwork.
