We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Manager to support our team in delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage various aspects of store operations effectively. This role is essential in fostering a positive work environment while driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Supervise and train staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Manage inventory levels, including purchasing, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
  • Handle cash management tasks, including cash handling, bookkeeping, and payroll processing.
  • Engage with customers to provide outstanding service, resolve issues, and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the recruiting process to build a strong team.
  • Implement marketing strategies to drive sales and promote store initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions using POS systems.
  • Develop schedules for staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Monitor performance metrics and assist in budgeting processes to meet financial goals.

Skills

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks including time management, organizational skills, and math competencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette.
  • Experience in training & development of team members to enhance their skills.
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.20-$37.31 per hour
