Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a range of skills including commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.

Duties

  • Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight across designated routes, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
  • Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, including automotive repair tasks when necessary
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading processes
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures to prevent accidents or damage during transportation

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
  • Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and transportation
  • Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps or GPS systems accurately
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform long hours of driving as required

This position is vital for maintaining our supply chain operations, requiring a dedicated professional capable of managing both driving responsibilities and equipment handling with precision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour
