Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with experience in various roofing techniques. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Install roofing systems using various materials including shingles, metal, and tiles
  • Repair and replace damaged roofing materials
  • Ensure proper sealing and waterproofing of roofs using caulking and other materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications
  • Perform heavy lifting and carry materials to job sites
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in roofing tasks
  • Strong understanding of carpentry principles and practices
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with caulking techniques for weatherproofing roofs
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and work at heights
  • Previous maintenance person experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
