Afterschool Instructor

Job Overview

We are seeking a responsible and dedicated After-School Instructor to support students with their homework and academic tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for creating a positive and productive learning environment. This role focuses on assisting students in completing their assignments, reinforcing learning, and fostering good study habits.

Please Note: This role requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as classes are held at different schools or community locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with homework across various subjects, ensuring they understand key concepts.
• Provide guidance and encouragement to help students develop independent learning skills.
• Create a supportive and structured environment that promotes focus and productivity.
• Monitor student progress and offer assistance as needed without directly completing work for them.
• Ensure a safe and respectful learning space for all students.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong academic knowledge in core subjects to assist with homework effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and parents.
• Patience, adaptability, and a supportive approach to learning.
• Ability to manage small groups and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
