About Us

GTA Refrigeration Supply Inc. is a leading supplier of HVAC-R components, parts, and equipment, serving contractors, technicians, and businesses across Ontario. We are expanding and are proud to open our newest retail/wholesale branch in Barrie. We are looking for a motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our growing team. Salary will be determined based on the applicant's demonstrated experience.

Position Overview

The Retail Sales Associate plays a key role in driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. This individual represents the GTA Refrigeration Supply brand and ensures a smooth retail experience for walk-in, phone, and B2B customers. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated HVAC-R industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance

  • Achieve and maintain monthly sales targets.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities to expand the customer portfolio.
  • Maintain weekly sales activity reports and track progress.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients.
  • Manage and update customer records in the ERP system.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, quotes, and product requests.

Customer Service

  • Deliver excellent customer service before, during, and after each sale.
  • Assist customers with product selection and technical questions (training provided).
  • Resolve issues professionally and escalate when necessary.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Participate in sales meetings, product training, and operational discussions.

Compliance

  • Follow all company policies and ethical standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Ontario employment and workplace safety regulations.

Performance Expectations

  • Meet or exceed monthly revenue targets.
  • Demonstrate measurable growth in customer accounts and repeat business.
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction based on feedback and service metrics.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: TBD based on experience
  • Benefits: Eligible for group benefits (life, health, dental, disability)
  • Vacation: 2 weeks annually (increasing after 5 years)

Who We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience; HVAC-R industry knowledge required
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet targets
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable using ERP systems and basic computer applications
  • Proficient with Office 365, Windows, and standard office equipment
