The
Senior Digital Merchandising Analyst
plays a critical role in driving the performance of the Shoppers Drug Mart eCommerce business by enhancing site engagement and conversion. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of digital merchandising strategies to support business and marketing priorities. Through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration, the Senior Analyst will ensure that products are presented in a compelling and strategic way across digital touchpoints to improve the overall customer experience and maximize sales performance.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the site merchandising planning process, aligning with key business drivers, marketing campaigns, and seasonal strategies.
- Develop and execute the overall e-commerce strategy for new product introductions and strategic expansion of current brands or categories including Online Exclusive assortment.
- Brief and collaborate with Design, Copy, and Production to ensure effective execution of merchandising and promotional initiatives across the site.
- Optimize category and product presentation to improve conversion, engagement, and overall site performance.
- Execute on-site merchandising activities, including navigation updates, landing page creation, and strategic product placement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Category Management, Marketing, Product, and Technology to drive a seamless and engaging customer journey across site & app properties.
- Support the planning and execution of the online promotional calendar in alignment with business goals.
- Leverage data & customer insights, take full ownership of KPIs, and utilize analytics tools to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Propose and support A/B testing initiatives, using insights and performance data to continuously optimize the digital merchandising experience.
- Provide ad hoc and recurring reporting to support business decisions and performance tracking.
- Continuously audit and optimize the on-site experience, ensuring high-quality on-site content, product detail pages, assets, and merchandising to maximize conversion
What You'll Bring:
- A passion for digital retail and a deep understanding of the connection between merchandising, brand, and customer experience.
- Solid understanding of merchandising principles, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, or a related role.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven experience using tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, or other relevant platforms.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and problem-solving independently when needed.
- Experience in retail, category management, or merchandise planning is considered an asset.
