Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, cash handling, and food safety within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, morning breakfast and specialty beverages according to company standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
  • Ensure accurate cash transactions and handle payments efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and dining area
  • Follow food safety protocols during food preparation and handling
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
  • Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including serving snacks or light food items
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as necessary to ensure smooth operations

Skills

  • Previous barista experience or background in food service is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
  • Good time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing register operations
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
