About Us

Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta (RGA) is a non-profit, community-based sports organization dedicated to promoting and growing rhythmic gymnastics across the province of Alberta. We work with athletes, coaches, officials, families, and volunteers to create fun, inclusive, and meaningful sport experiences.

Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and community-minded individual to join our team as a Part-Time Events & Membership Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing people together, coordinating activities, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll support membership services, assist with planning and delivering events, and collaborate with our volunteers, clubs, and the Board of Directors to create meaningful and positive experiences for our community.

Key Responsibilities

Event Coordination

  • Assist in planning and delivering competitions, workshops, training sessions, and community events. This may include collaboration with co-hosting clubs.
  • Coordinate event logistics (registration, scheduling, volunteer support, and communications, judge support).
  • Provide on-site support and a welcoming presence at events.

Membership Support

  • Manage member registrations, renewals, and communications.
  • Respond to member inquiries and provide clear, helpful information.
  • Maintain accurate membership records and reports.

Communications & Promotion

  • Share event information and updates through via email, website, and social media.
  • Help foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants and volunteers.
  • Support outreach efforts to grow membership and community engagement.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with organizing documents, reports, and event materials.
  • Other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and customer- service oriented.
  • Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and basic online tools.
  • Experience coordinating events or working with volunteers is a requirement
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • An understanding of rhythmic gymnastics events would be an asset.
  • Demonstrates strong composure and problem-solving skills under pressure
  • Passion for sport and community involvement.

Working Conditions

  • Part-time position, approximately (10–15 hours per week), with a flexible schedule.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends for events.
  • Option to work remotely with some in-person activities as needed.

Compensation

  • Renumeration will be commensurate with experience.
  • Contract term: 1- year with the possibility of renewal.
