Garland Commercial Ranges is looking for a Customer Service Specialist II, on a temporary 6-month contract
The Customer Service Specialist supports the aftermarket parts business to process orders, coordinating logistics, and providing excellent customer support. Our Customer Service Specialists provide optimum after-market parts sales service to customers utilizing their knowledge, skills and professionalism.
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor/Manager, this position is 100% based in our Mississauga, Ontario facility. This is a full-time, temporary role on a 6-month contract that is an addition to headcount.
Major Accountability:
- Responsible for Strategic global accounts
- Fulfils the financial controls and risk management responsibilities inherent in the position
- High degree of customer satisfaction
- Strong teamwork skills. Must be a team player
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- The Customer Service Specialist will deal with incoming calls from customers and will handle all aspects of an assigned sales territory and/or global accounts
- Acting as liaison between customers, production and distribution departments related to a specific customer
- Enter orders in our ERP system
- Aware of the status of account sales orders, product lead times, and delivery schedules
- Communicate clearly with customers through a variety of means (via telephone, email, fax and the internet), including inquiries and complaints about products and services. Required to follow up and/or take ownership of the customer's account until a question is answered or an issue is resolved.
- Handle international customers and follow up inquiries, such as shipping info, provide custom documents, and coordinate cargoes with freight forwarders
- Demonstrate proficiency in diligently following up with customers to address order discrepancies and promptly issuing debits or credits
- Responsible for efficiently processing returns
Qualifications
- Specialized Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to resourcefully use the Telephone, Computer, Printer, copy machine, fax machine and Multiple-line switchboard
- Ability to function with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization – both internally and externally.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to frequent changes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is considered a valuable asset for this role
- Experience working with various ERP systems is essential
- Knowledge in export to manage overseas orders is considered a valuable asset for this position
- Education and Experience
- College/University degree or 3 years of experience in a similar role is considered equivalent to a degree
- Working Conditions
- Heavy computer use.
- Normal office environment; must be able to sit for long periods
- Must be able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods.
