Powell's Supermarket, Bay Roberts, is now hiring a Bakery Clerk

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating, cleaning and maintenance of the Bakery
  • Providing friendly/ top-notch customer service
  • Icing, decorating, packaging, labeling, and pricing products
  • Filling customer special orders, including wedding cakes
  • Dynamically selling products by providing customers with information needed to make product-relation decisions
  • Operating the Bakery department mixer
  • Maintaining Occupational Health & Safety requirements
  • Organizing and rotating stock in the freezer
  • Various decorative work
  • Keen eye for detail

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess strong organizational & time management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Have a positive attitude and eager to learn
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision

Physical Environment:

· Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift (assistance with heavy items provided)

· Must have the ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time

  • Requires bending, twisting or squatting
  • Will involve frequent repetitive hand coordination
  • Will be required to reach above shoulder height and below waist level
