Commercial Litigation Lawyer – 4+ Years

Location: Whitby, ON | In-office

Talent Renew has partnered with a well-established full-service law firm seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer for their Whitby office. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an entrepreneurial and collegial environment with exposure to general civil litigation and the ability to develop expertise in specialized practice areas.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work across a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters while contributing to a dynamic and supportive practice. You will have the opportunity to manage complex files, collaborate with senior professionals, and build and expand your expertise within multiple practice areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and advance a variety of civil and commercial litigation files

  • Provide strategic advice and advocacy across multiple practice areas

  • Draft pleadings, correspondence, and litigation materials

  • Participate in negotiations, mediations, discoveries, and court attendances

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams

  • Contribute to the growth of the practice, including leveraging a partial book of business

What We're Looking For:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial or civil litigation

  • Strong advocacy, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload with professionalism

  • Strong analytical and writing abilities

  • A partial portable book of business is strongly preferred
