Carpentry Foreman

About Us

We are a renovation company specializing in rental apartment buildings. Our work includes unit turnovers, common-area upgrades, flooring, framing, door and trim replacement, and other finish carpentry tasks. We are looking for a skilled Carpentry Foreman to lead our team and ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpentry crews and subcontractors on renovation projects.
• Plan, schedule, and assign tasks to ensure projects stay on time and within budget.
• Perform and oversee finish carpentry work, including framing, door installation, baseboards, trims, and cabinetry.
• Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to building codes and safety standards.
• Communicate with project managers, building staff, and to coordinate site access and minimize disruptions.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Read and interpret drawings and work orders.
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization.
• Report progress, issues, and material requirements to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead-hand role.
• Strong knowledge of renovation work in occupied or multi-unit residential buildings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from technical drawings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Assets

• Experience working in rental or property management environments.
• Familiarity with flooring, drywall, painting, and finishing trades

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
