Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Building Property Manager to oversee daily building operations, maintenance, and service coordination. The successful candidate will manage building environmental systems, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and lead a small team of maintenance and janitorial staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day building operations and maintenance activities
- Supervise building operators, custodians, and contractors
- Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Manage building inspections, safety programs, and preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards (OHSA, WSIB, JHSC, etc.)
- Prepare maintenance logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation
- Coordinate with clients, tenants, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently
Required Certifications (Mandatory)
Applicants must hold or be in the process of obtaining the following certifications:
- Building Environmental Systems Facility Manager / Operator / Administrator Certificates (for Supervisors)
- Building Environmental Systems Operator Class I / II Certificates (for Superintendent level)
- Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification Training Part 1 & 2
Qulifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management or building operations
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor performance
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
