COMMUNITY RESOURCE WORKER 2 for SOLO

(1 part-time, temporary position available)

About the position:

McMan's Disabilities Services Program in Edson is seeking to recruit a dedicated Community Resource Worker 2 to assist one (1) female individual with developmental disabilities to enrich her quality of life in her home and community.

Please note that due to the individuals' needs, the successful candidate must be female.

This is a temporary position ending around the 6th of June 2027.

Hours: Monday to Friday--3pm to 10pm. Total of 35 awake hours per week.

Location: Edson, Alberta.

What you'll do:

· Connect with and develop helping relationships with individuals with disabilities

· Act as a strong advocate for individuals in the community

· Work effectively as a team with the individuals and their support team to help achieve their goals

· Case management; including support plan development and implementation

· Complete daily documentation

· Support and participate in recreation and leisure activities and medical appointments

· Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home

· Participate in on-going program development

What you bring:

· Completion of a High School Diploma.

· One (1) year experience working within the Human Services field (relevant equivalencies will be considered).

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months).

· Current Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED.

· Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, reliable vehicle and auto insurance are required.

· Proficiency in basic computer and word processing tasks

· Compassion and the ability to assist with personal care.

· Ability to implement approved restrictive practices and establish boundaries while maintaining positive supports.

· Desire to see individuals succeed.
