The Max Die Group is a world class tooling company, with three facilities located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Focused on large panel tooling such as production Floor Pan Dies, for which we are well known throughout the stamping industry. Max Die Group also has extensive experience & knowledge in Hot Stamp Die process, Dies for Parts needing Ultra High Strength steels, Rapid Prototype, Die Maintenance and Repair, Machining, Design, Press Tryout and Low Volume/Temporary production. Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Fit, weld, and finish all assigned orders with accuracy
  • Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications and fit as required
  • Operate manual or semi automatic flame cutting equipment
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal bending machines
  • Repair parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
  • Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits
  • Flame hardening
  • Mig welding
  • Tig welding
  • Plasma cutter
  • Torch cutter
  • Fabricating as required
  • Maintain safe work practices
  • General plant preventative maintenance duties
  • Work in compliance with Ontario Health & Safety Act and regulations
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, standards and values
  • Other general duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/diagrams.
  • Proven experience as welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, tape measure, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional Certification (e.g. an CWB welding certificate) will be a plus
  • Attention to detail; quality orientation
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; team player
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, ability to prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Well organized and able to work with minimum supervisor
