Max Die Group also has extensive experience & knowledge in Hot Stamp Die process, Dies for Parts needing Ultra High Strength steels, Rapid Prototype, Die Maintenance and Repair, Machining, Design, Press Tryout and Low Volume/Temporary production. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Fit, weld, and finish all assigned orders with accuracy
- Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications and fit as required
- Operate manual or semi automatic flame cutting equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal bending machines
- Repair parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
- Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits
- Flame hardening
- Mig welding
- Tig welding
- Plasma cutter
- Torch cutter
- Fabricating as required
- Maintain safe work practices
- General plant preventative maintenance duties
- Work in compliance with Ontario Health & Safety Act and regulations
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, standards and values
- Other general duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/diagrams.
- Proven experience as welder
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, tape measure, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Professional Certification (e.g. an CWB welding certificate) will be a plus
- Attention to detail; quality orientation
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; team player
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, ability to prioritize tasks accordingly
- Well organized and able to work with minimum supervisor
