SEASONAL: Part-time, 24 hours per week up to 39.5 hours per week

Hourly Wage Rate:

$22.58/hour

Anticipated Normal Work Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, & Friday: 6:00pm – 11:30pm
• Saturday & Sunday: 3:00pm – 8:30pm

Job Description Summary:

• As a Hospitality Associate you will be representing McMaster University Hospitality Services.
• Hospitality Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers effectively, guide customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards, including in a manner that is consistent with food safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform job as a cashier and follow proper till protocol (FIFO).
• Perform all duties in a consistent, efficient and cooperative manner.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently and be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a hot environment.
• Ability to work with and around hot equipment.
• Ability to work with and around cleaning chemicals and sanitizers.
• Ability to work with and around various food allergens.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Must be comfortable working independently and with little supervision.
• Must be comfortable handling a knife and a hot (knife test may be required).
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education & Experience:

• Reference Hospitality Associate Guide as issued.
• Must have good communication, reading, writing and English skills.
