Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, assisting in various automotive repair and maintenance tasks while developing your skills in a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance work.
  • Support technicians in heavy lifting and moving of automotive parts and equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components.
  • Participate in assembly and disassembly of vehicle components as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by verbally communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

Experience

  • Basic mechanical knowledge is essential; familiarity with automotive repair processes is a plus.
  • Experience with welding techniques is beneficial for certain repair tasks.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
  • Strong customer service skills to enhance client interactions.
