About Badge
More people now use Apple and Google Wallet than TikTok or Instagram. At Badge, we believe mobile wallets are the next big customer engagement channel, and we make it easy for enterprise brands and platforms to build in and monetize experiences in Apple and Google Wallets. From loyalty cards to stored value cards, memberships, IDs, and tickets, Badge helps brands drive retention, reactivation, and revenue by turning wallets into a powerful marketing channel. The Badge platform consists of a no-code UI for marketers, flexible APIs for developers, and the embed/SDK for platform partners, enabling companies to create dynamic wallet experiences with in-wallet push notifications, location-based notifications, offers, coupons, tap-to-redeem, and more.
We're a fast-growing team backed by leading investors, including QED and Infinity, and trusted by top-tier retailers, grocers, and partner institutions, including Shift4, Carrefour, Hoka and Yale University. We value sharp thinking, fast execution, and a deep understanding of what drives customer behavior in a mobile-first world.
Position Overview
As Badge's first Technical Product Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Engineering to translate high-level product strategy into actionable, technically precise requirements. You will help shape the processes that keep engineering velocity high and ensure what ships meets customer needs and the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role where you will be part product thinker, part project manager, and part process designer.
You will thrive in this role if you're energized by ambiguity, love diving deep into technical product challenges, and are passionate about building products that solve real problems at scale.
What You Will Do- Partner with engineering teams to ensure a shared understanding of product goals, design requirements, and technical constraints.
- Translate high-level product goals into detailed specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog based on a balanced view of business value, technical feasibility, and customer needs.
- Monitor feature delivery and quality, ensuring it aligns with defined specifications, making real-time adjustments to scope and timelines.
- Serve as the key point of contact between the engineering team and other stakeholders, including business and design teams, communicating project status and technical trade-offs.
- Improve planning, release, and documentation workflows so the team can ship faster with fewer blockers
- You have 4+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated success in technical environments
- You have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and a keen eye for technical details.
- You have a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams to achieve a common goal.
- You are an excellent communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and business goals for engineers.
- You proactively consider security implications in every product decision, ensuring features are designed with robustness and user safety in mind.
- You are data-driven and skilled at using metrics and user feedback to inform your decisions.
We offer a competitive salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact in a fast-paced startup environment.
This is a hybrid position, while primarily remote the team meets in person in North Vancouver one day a week.
If you are passionate about executing on a product roadmap, delivering great products that solve real-world problems, and getting lost in the details of how products function; we would love to hear from you
