Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non-Medical Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, and enhancing their overall quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home care, or related fields and will be responsible for providing transportation to appointments and social outings.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during transportation to appointments or outings.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers regarding client needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and hospice care.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client appointments.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others in need.
- Basic cleaning skills and meal preparation experience are essential. Join our team to make a difference in the lives of those we serve while providing compassionate care and companionship.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
