What we are looking for:

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code

  • Willingless to learn about new installation concepts, code changes, small-scale BAS controls

  • A calm, positive, and professional demeanor. Able to communicate directly with clients

  • Sense of ownership of the projects which are assigned to you

  • Great customer service skills, be able to meet or exceed the clients' requests and expectations

  • Quality craft mindset, willingness to prioritize quality over quantity

  • Journeyperson License (Required)

  • Clean criminal background (Required)

  • Clean Drivers abstract (Required)

  • Reliable vehicle (Required)

  • Smartphone (Required for Jobber App)

  • Work/Life balance. Weekend work is very rare. Projects and service calls span from Edmonton to Redwater

Resonsibilities:

- Work with apprentice(s)

  • Lead small projects such as residential panel replacements, home renovations, service calls

  • Participate in commercial projects, including building automation, running EMT, pulling wires into conduits, running armoured cables, mounting strut, cable tray, operating scissor lifts, hooking up contactors, relays, motor controllers, lighting, and more

  • Ordering and picking up materials when required

  • Read and follow written notes and verbal communications carefully

  • Interpret construction drawings, wiring schematics, and ladder diagrams.

  • Communicating progress in the form of written notes and verbal updates

  • Install and conduct yourself with the clients' wants in mind

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Residential construction/Renovation: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Drivers Licence (required)
  • Valid Journeyperson License recognized by Alberta (required)
