Overview
We are seeking a skilled Building Automation/ Low Voltage Building Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and be adept at programming, troubleshooting and termination of BAS controllers. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment. As a BAS Technician, you will complement our electrical installation team in testing and termination of field wiring at the equipment, programming, troubleshooting and commissioning systems. You will also be required to assemble field panels with BAS controllers.
Duties
- Utilize hand tools to assemble, test, and Field Control Panels for BAS systems.
- Interpret and work from schematics to terminate field wiring and diagnose issues in low voltage systems.
- Termination and point to point testing of BAS Controllers, VAV, Sensors etc. .
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot field wiring issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in Building Automation Systems, and low voltage controls.
- Proficiency with hand tools and low voltage electronics.
- Strong understanding of schematics and ability to read technical diagrams.
- Familiarity with programming concepts, hardware components and networking principles.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enhancing the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
