Special Education Specialist

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Specialist located in Brampton, ON. The Specialist will work closely with children, designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and applying evidence-based techniques such as Applied Behavior Analysis. The role involves collaborating with educators and families, assessing student needs, and continuously adjusting learning strategies to promote growth and success. Additional responsibilities include fostering strong communication between all stakeholders and advocating for students' educational and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Experience in Special Education and Education, with a strong understanding of creating and implementing individualized learning plans
- Proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis and other evidence-based practices
- Strong Communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Experience and passion for Working With Children
- Ability to provide emotional support, patience, and adaptability to meet varied student needs
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Relevant certifications or training in Applied Behavior Analysis or related specialties are an asset
