The Policing and Community Safety Services Division of the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety has a challenging career opportunity in Regina with the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Investigation Unit for a mature, motivated, responsible, and team-oriented individual. As the Video Reviewer, the incumbent's primary goal will be to accurately record activity utilizing computerized video editing equipment with an investigative mindset. You will monitor, document, and edit information from covert surveillance videos at a standard suitable for evidentiary and court purposes under the authority of the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act.

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be gained through the completion of a diploma in office/business administration and several years of related experience. Knowledge of the judicial system would be an asset.

As a member of the SCAN team, you will have knowledge of office administrative procedures and policy, protocols, records management, filing systems, office equipment and computer applications.

This position requires the ability to accurately record activity from surveillance video. Assist the Office Manager/Registrar with administrative duties including creating files for investigation under the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act. Monitor radio and GPS systems and record verbal communications during surveillance projects. Surveillance video viewed may contain sensitive material that some may find disturbing.
