Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of goods and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires proficiency in various warehouse tasks, including shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and heavy equipment operation.

Duties

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and reach trucks to load and unload materials.
  • Perform order picking and packing duties to prepare products for shipment.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory counts.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment practices.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus, particularly with heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • No criminal record.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong sense of urgency and excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, good communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience operating small equipment or towing trailers is an asset
  • Must have your own vehicle — no bus access near the work location.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
