We are seeking experienced, compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counsellors to join our team as sub-contractors. These are part-time or full-time with flexible hours. This is a three-year signed contract commitment for ideal candidates. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health needs of clients (adults, youth, children).

Duties

  • Provide counselling and therapy to children, youth, and adults, including intake, treatment, planning, and interventions.
  • Maintain Records and store files securely.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vulnerable clients and diverse populations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Independently carry your own liability insurance
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients, adhering to Social Work or Psychology regulations.
  • Support educational initiatives by providing clients and families with information about mental health resources.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Social Work degree (Master's Preferred) or a Master's Psychology Degree
  • Must have at least 2 - 5 years of one-to-one mental health counselling experience with supervision
  • Experience working with children, youth, and adult counselling
  • Strong skills in data collection and documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of case management principles and practices related to mental health care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
  • A passion for supporting individuals with mental health challenges
