About the Role
We are seeking a skilled
Toolroom Machinist
to join our team in Ayr, ON. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a key role in maintaining, fabricating, and repairing equipment to support our manufacturing and robotics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and robotic cell assembly to ensure consistent equipment functionality
- Troubleshoot and install hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Read and interpret machine drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Repair, overhaul, fabricate, assemble, and dismantle equipment using power tools, hand tools, machine tools, and welding tools
- Maintain shop tools and equipment in optimal condition
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
- Apply electrical and basic machining knowledge (asset)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in machining or related field (required)
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining manual machinery and lathe machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean workspace
- Formal training or certification in machining, tool & die, or relevant technical fields (required)
- Experience in manufacturing or robotics industry (asset)
