About the Position

We are seeking an Abatement Supervisor to join our team of demolition and environmental abatement experts. As the Abatement Supervisor, you will oversee and ensure the daily progress of projects. This would include duties such as daily progress reports, assigning tasks to workers, prepping abatement and demolition work sites, preparing for inspections, ensuring compliance with provincial acts and regulations and completion of daily site safety documentation.

The position is full-time with jobs located within Calgary and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepping job sites - Asbestos Abatement, Mould removal & Demolition
  • Operate power tools and mobile equipment
  • Able to meet deadlines and work in a team environment
  • Complete and prepare for site inventory needs i.e. equipment, PPE, tools
  • Communicate and coordinate with other trades and/or subtrades on site
  • Understanding of and compliance with Alberta's Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
  • Experienced with on site OH&S site documentation i.e. daily field level risk assessments, inspections and incident reporting
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3 Day Asbestos Certificate required
  • At least 1-2 years experience in supervising hazardous materials removal required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs unaided
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and stay organized in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships
  • Fall Arrest Protection Certificate preferred
  • First Aid Certificate preferred
  • Supervisor Training preferred
  • Mold Awareness & Lead Awareness Certificate considered an asset
